Honktoberfest

BUTTON DESIGN GUIDELINES
· Must be a circular shape.
· Official “Honktoberfest” banner must be used or recreated within the piece.
· All images used in the artwork must be original with no AI.
· Two entries allowed per artist.
· All two-dimensional media is eligible.  
· Size must not exceed 14″ x 14″.
· Artwork must not have been previously reproduced. (Example: a past competition).
· Artwork must be labeled on the back with artist’s name, phone number & artwork title.
· Artwork must be submitted matted, framed or otherwise gallery ready for display.

AWARDS:
Besides recognition as the 2025 Honktoberfest Button winner, the winning artist will also receive:
· $200 cash.
· The opportunity to have a free booth at either Honktoberfest or Weihnachtsfest.
· Honktoberfest swag.

HONKTOBERFEST BUTTON DESIGN COMPETITION TIMELINE:
Deadline: 4:00 pm Friday August 1, 2025.  
Entries must be received at the Pine Grove Gallery located at 601 Main Street, Biwabik, MN 55708.

Notification: Selected artist will be announced on our socials with special recognition at the tapping of the golden keg during Honktoberfest.

Pick-up Schedule: Artwork not selected will be available for pick-up beginning Monday, September 1 through Friday, September 5. BACA will not be held responsible for works not picked up by this time.

By participating in the contest you agree that your entry will become the property of the Biwabik Area Civic Association (BACA) and may be used for promotional purposes, shared on social media accounts, and/or included in announcements and press releases. The winning entry becomes the property of the BACA. Except as used by BACA, all artists, including the winner, will retain the rights to their work. Entry in the contest constitutes full permission to publish names of participants without further compensation. The determination of eligibility of entries and any interpretation of these rules is at the sole discretion of BACA, and shall be final and binding upon all entrants. The winning artist is to not use their design for their own promotions until after the event. By participating, the entrant agrees to abide by and be bound by these rules.
